Cardinals 2005 TV Schedule Released
By Brian Walton
For any player, a 161-for-162 batting average would signify superstar status. That is also the case when 2005 Cardinals regular season television broadcasts are considered. Every single game of the 2005 regular season, sans one mid-week day game in September, will be televised among Big FOX (10 games), FSN Midwest (110 games) and KPLR WB11 (41 games).
The Big FOX games, all on Saturdays, were previously published here. With the exceptions of the first Friday afternoon game of the season (April 8) and a Wednesday afternoon game in late June, all of the WB11 games are on Saturdays and Sundays, just as in the past.
In addition, FSN Midwest (2 games) and WB11 (1 game) will each have spring training broadcasts from Florida. That is on top of the one ESPN spring telecast previously announced. All told, that makes 165 opportunities to catch Cardinals action this season, until the post-season begins, that is. Enjoy!

By Brian Walton
Between ESPN (eight) and ESPN2 (three), there looks to be 11 Spring Training telecasts currently planned. The good news for Cardinals fans is that one of those games includes the team.
Monday, March 14 Braves @ Cardinals from Jupiter (1pm ET)
(The Cubs will be on twice; against the Rangers on the 7th and the Diamondbacks on the 23rd. No Astros games are among the 11.)
More on spring schedules as I get info.

Cardinals Spring Training Radio Plans Enhanced
By Brian Walton
Ron Jacober, KMOX Sports Director, has confirmed their plans and that of the network for Cardinal spring training broadcasts are set and have been beefed up for 2005.
As has been the case in recent years, KMOX will air all Saturday and Sunday games (this should begin with the game against the Marlins on March 5th). They will also provide broadcast feeds of Tuesday and Thursday games for optional use by their Cardinal network affiliates. KMOX does not air these midweek games, but instead includes game highlights during Sports Open Line.
In addition, there is a bonus in 2005 as KMOX will carry three evening games. They are Wednesday night, March 23rd, against the New York Mets, Thursday night, March 31st, against the Baltimore Orioles in Oklahoma City and Friday night, April 1st, also against Baltimore.
MLB Radio and TV Broadcast Update

Michael Newton reminds us that MLB.com Gameday Radio is up and running for a price of $14.95 for Spring Training and regular season. He adds that windowsmedia.com is MLB.com’s partner. Although Thursday’s schedule is not up, we should expect to see KMOX network broadcasts of Spring Training games streamed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, along with occasional opponent team broadcasts on other days.
MLB.tv is also available for $79.95 for the season or $14.95 per month. Note this offer is lower priced than last season, but offers “over 200 games per month”.
