Renteria is gone

Edgar Renteria has accepted a 4 year contract from the Boston Red Sox for a reported $40 million dollars, on the condition that he passes a physical.
Cardinal fans should have been able to read the writing on the wall, Renteria has had his sights set on leaving St. Louis since the end of the 2003 season, when he became disgruntle over some of the moves made by the Cardinals in the offseason.
The Cardinals made more than a fair offer to Renteria for four years, for $32 million dollars or $8 million dollars a season.
Our own Ryan Pastrovich did a story back on September the 17th, this year Is Edgar Worth It", and the bottom line then and now is - NO. Our advice was, "Just say no Walt" and he did and we are glad he did.
